77.2  Sterling References

If, following the introduction of the euro, Sterling is substituted by the euro as the currency of the United Kingdom, then all references in this Contract and any Project Document to Sterling or £ shall be construed as references to euro or € (as the case may be), at the agreed Sterling-euro conversion rate on the date of that substitution.  Provided that the provisions of this clause 77 shall not apply during any transitional period when Sterling is a sub-unit of the euro, unless the parties otherwise agree.
