4.1 and 4.2

4.1  Skid Resistance of the surface of the Carriageway on an [RSL] on each of the Network Route Hierarchies in each of the [Districts] shall be measured in accordance with Volume 7, HD28/04 of the DMRB, and, for the avoidance of doubt, the mean of at least three (3) sideways force co-efficient obtained from well spaced surveys shall be used to calculate the Mean Summer [SCRIM] Co-efficient ("MSSC") of any particular sub-section.

4.2  Measurement of actual Skid Resistance obtained from [SCRIM] shall be compared to Investigatory Levels ("IL") relating to the category of site on which the relevant [RSL] is situated.
