16. Application of the national PPP policy and guidelines
The Western Australian Government generally supports the principles in the national PPP policy and guidelines. However the Government considers it to be essential that their application be assessed on a project specific basis and that they are adapted to reflect the requirements and circumstances specific to Western Australia. Accordingly, the Government reserves the right to depart from the national PPP policy and guidelines as the Government may reasonably require, including:
• where the Government considers that it is reasonable or appropriate in the circumstances of each project;
• where the Government considers it to be in the public and State's interest to do so; or
• as may be necessary to meet the Government's policy and legislative requirements.
