12.4  Notices etc

12.4.1  Subject to clause 76 (Notices), any notice, information, instructions or public communication given to:

(a)  The Contractor's Representative shall be given in writing and shall be deemed to have been given to the Contractor; and

(b)  The Authority's Representative shall be given in writing and shall be deemed to have been given to the Authority

12.4.2  The Authority shall not be responsible for and the Contractor shall not be entitled to rely on and shall not do so or claim relief, additional time, losses, expenses, damages, costs or other liabilities should the Contractor act on or fail to act on any notice, communication or other purported instruction given by a person alleging to act for and on behalf of the Authority unless such person was the Authority's Representative.
