Insurance

The Model Contract (Schedule•) requires the Service Provider to arrange insurance appropriate to a project of this type.  The Service Provider will be required to take out and maintain insurance on the terms, and with insurers, acceptable to the Local Authority throughout the Contract period.  The insurance schedule (Schedule•) in the Model Contract is expected to be completed during this competitive dialogue stage.

Bidders are required to disclose details of their insurance proposals as part of their Solutions and to include premiums associated with such insurance cover in the Financial Model as a separate line.  Details required to be submitted, as part of the Solution shall include:

•  Assumptions used in the financial model

•  The type and cost of each policy

•  Indemnity limits, excesses and deductibles

•  Details of any variations from the Model Contract.
