17.6  Obligation to Provide Service

During the period between any Temporary Suspension Start Date and Temporary Suspension End Date (as extended or reduced) or where clause 17.5 applies for the duration of the carrying out of the works the Service Provider shall not have any obligation to provide the Service in relation to the affected Apparatus, except to the extent that the Authority requests the Service Provider to carry out the Service to the affected Apparatus.  Where the Authority does so request, the Service Provider shall use reasonable endeavours to comply with such request.  All requests from the Authority shall be in writing except in the case of an emergency (which oral request shall be confirmed in writing by the Authority).
