16.2  Description of Activities/Functions

The main role of the Information Point is to signpost users to seek more information elsewhere.

Typical uses include:

•  providing users with information on the Authorities services;

•  providing information on health, possibly via an IT link;

•  IT links to NHS Direct, Council Services;

•  Literature about programmes and healthy living.
