5.9  Workmanship

All trades involved in [the design and/or] carrying out of the Works shall be members of the "Construction Skills Certification Scheme".

General workmanship shall conform to current revisions of BS 8000: - "Workmanship on Building Sites".  Where specialist design proposals require construction activities outside the scope of this document, specific quality procedures relating to these activities based on Good Industry Practice current at the time, as a minimum.

All workmanship shall be included in the Construction Quality Plan construction and component assemblies shall to the highest standards in every respect.  Work shall be true to detail with sharp profiles, straight and free from defects, marks, waves or flaws of any nature impairing strength, performance or appearance.

The Contractor shall accord with BS 5606:1990 "Guide to Accuracy in Building", subject to any that may not be appropriate for the particular elements or combination of elements in this Project (such as pool dimensions to suit usage specified).
