5  Related Zones

5.1  When there is an Availability Failure in relation to an Originating Zone, then each other Related Zones (as set out in Appendix 4 to the Schedule) shall be deemed to be Unavailable and Unavailability Deductions shall be applied to both the Originating Zone and all Related Zones for the period the Originating Zone is Unavailable in accordance with the following ;

(a)  where the Originating Zone is Unavailable then the Related Zone shall be deemed to be Unavailable and a Deduction shall be calculated in accordance with paragraph 5.2 below; or

(b)  where the Originating Zone is also an Original Zone and a Replacement Zone is used in accordance with paragraph 4 of Part 2 of this Schedule, then no Deduction shall made in respect of the Related Zone.

5.2  For the avoidance of doubt, the Unavailability Deduction in respect of any Related Zone shall be calculated using the formula set out in paragraph 1 of this Part 3, and in calculating the same: -

(a)  the Zone Weighting shall be that which applies to the Related Zone; and

(b)  any percentage set out in the fourth column of the table at Appendix 4 of this Schedule (titled "Comments") shall be applied to the calculation of the Unavailability Deduction for the Related Zone.
