Environmental Services Strategy

Bidders should provide a general statement describing how the engineering services concept for the design supports the architectural design concept ("Environmental Services Strategy").

Bidders should ensure that the Environmental Services Strategy describes the environmental impact on the health and well-being of Users and sets out in detail the Bidders' proposals in relation to the following issues, as a minimum:

•  natural ventilation;

•  air quality;

•  natural daylight,

•  heating and cooling, including solar gain, glare and shading;

•  interface with façade design;

•  acoustic insulation (from both airborne and impact sound);

•  acoustic design of engineering systems;

•  control strategies for heating and lighting; and

•  short-term flexibility and longer-term adaptability.
