12.1  Representatives of the Authority

The Authority's Representative shall be [  ]101 or such other person appointed pursuant to this clause. The Authority's Representative shall exercise the functions and powers of the Authority in relation to the Project which are identified in this Agreement as functions or powers to be carried out by the Authority's Representative. The Authority's Representative shall also exercise such other functions and powers of the Authority under this Agreement as may be notified to the Contractor from time to time102.

101  Definition of Authority's Representative to be defined on a Project specific basis.  The Authority's Representative is sometimes different during the Construction and Services periods.  The Authority may wish to provide for a substitute/deputy representative to cover illness and holidays of the designated Authority's Representative.  

102  Where Authorities want their Representative to have a limited authority in certain areas - e.g. termination of the Agreement - then they should include appropriate limitation in this clause.
