24 Suitable Alternative Accommodation
Provisions in the HPP dealing with the provision by the Contractor of Suitable Alternative Accommodation are not considered to be relevant for a general needs non-HRA Project. The Contractor or Housing Management Contractor is the landlord of tenants and has the duty at law to source alternative accommodation if the need arises. Such provisions may be relevant for an extra care project where the Authority (if care services are not outsourced) will be under a duty to provide care services to an appropriate standard and to do this it will need to ensure that the accommodation in which a tenant is housed is at an appropriate standard.
