(6.8)  Statutory processes.

The impact of statutory processes such as planning permission, public enquiry etc. on the project must have been considered. Processes should either be complete or an authority will need to indicate how any potential problems will be resolved in the procurement process. That should include any risk mitigation strategy, a consideration of the potential impact on the timetable, and a description of consultations possible at the stage reached. An authority should consult with the relevant sponsoring department and follow any additional guidance which may be available on what is expected on planning and site issues before a project goes to the market.
