4.1.11  Hobby and Craft Room

A space is required to accommodate a range of hobby activities; e.g. painting, crafts, and sewing. The layout, furniture, fittings and servicing shall allow differing activities to take place.

Furniture shall be particularly sturdy and hard wearing, suiting the range of activities and easily cleaned afterwards.

The space shall include lockable storage cupboards for the raw materials of the differing groups using the craft room and their incomplete work.

There shall be sink and drainer provision for preparation and cleaning purposes.

There shall be appropriate levels of general illumination as defined in the Zone Data Sheets and workstation task lighting.
