4.1.14  Reading Room, Library and ICT Suite

The reading room shall be designed, furnished and equipped in a domestic style with settees, chairs and occasional tables. There is to be shelving for books and films as a resource for residents.  One part of the space is to be set aside as a computer suite for residents and visitors to gain access to the internet or participate in computer activities.

The reading room shall maximise natural lighting such that use of the space does not rely at all times on supplementary artificial lighting.  The computer area shall have appropriate task lighting suitable for use with PC monitor.
