4.1.21  Sluice Room/Laundry/Linen Store

The Contractor shall provide a laundry and drying facility for the use of the Care Provider.  Space for dealing with bedpans, incontinence pads and soiled bedding or clothing shall be provided.  This area shall also provide for the disposal of low level clinical waste and soiled disposal protective garments used by care staff.

Suitably sized, based on the number of residents, linen storage facilities shall be provided in close proximity to the launderette.
