7.1.3  Structure and Building Fabric

The Contractor is responsible for the structure and fabric of the facilities and must ensure that all Zones are:

a)  structurally sound, stable and fit for purpose;

b)  wind and weather-tight;

c)  free from water penetration;

d)  free from dry or wet rot or fungal infestation;

e)  maintained so as to maximise the energy efficiency of the Zone34;

f)  free from serious disrepair;

g)  free from any Health & Safety risks;

h)  free from damp or defects likely to cause damp;

i)  adequately insulated against noise;

j)  secure and protected against forced entry or crime; and

k)  include appropriate fire containment, detection and escape systems.
