7.1.7  Bathroom Facilities

All bathroom and WC facilities (including assisted bathing facilities) must be less than 30 years of age and be appropriately located (as defined in the Decent Homes: Definition and Guidance for Implementation; Department for Communities and Local Government, June 2006 booklet). Bathroom facilities to each apartment must include as a minimum a level access shower35, washbasin and WC.

Tiling should be provided to:

a)  at least 3 courses around sinks and baths to provide wall protection to a width of at least 150mm beyond the edge of the installation; and

b)  to the full height and width of any separate shower enclosures.
