8.7.6  Porterage

The Contractor is to provide a basic porterage service which includes:

a)  Moving large/bulky items either for care staff or residents within 24 hrs of being requested to do so via the Helpdesk;

b)  Arrangement (and subsequent reinstatement where appropriate) of furniture/equipment to facilitate events either to meet the events timetable or within 24 hrs of request; and

c)  Arranging for specialist equipment (for example, mobile hoists, etc) to be available for use in the required localities at any reasonable required time.
