7.2.7  Bathroom Facilities

All bathroom facilities must be less than 30 years of age, be appropriately located (as defined in the Decent Homes: Definition and Guidance for Implementation; Department for Communities and Local Government, June 2006 booklet) and must include as a minimum a bath, washbasin and WC [(which, if separate, should also have a rinse hand basin)].

Tiling should be provided to:

a)  at least 3 courses around sinks and baths to provide wall protection to a width of at least 150mm beyond the edge of the installation;

b)  to a height of at least 1500mm above the bath where an over bath shower is installed, providing wall protection to a width of at least 150mm beyond the edge of the bath; and

c)  to the full height and width of any separate shower enclosures.
