8.6.5  Housing Advice and Information Service

The Contractor must offer a friendly, accessible and informative housing advice and information service to PFI Tenants, advising Tenants and residents in respect of:

a)  Rent problems, personal debt problems and other financial matters;

b)  Housing and other welfare benefits including mobility and transfer options;

c)  Advice in relation to energy issues including:

i.  Heating and hot water controls;

ii.  Use of ventilation;

iii.  Avoidance of condensation;

iv.  Methods of payment of utility bills; and

v.  Emergency and safety procedures in relation to electricity and gas.
