8.00  CONFIDENTIALITY

8.01  All information set out in this Brief and all further information and documents provided at any time in connection with this Brief are and shall be provided on a strictly confidential basis on the understanding that the Surveyor shall not (and shall ensure that its employees, agents and subcontractors do not) disclose or hand over any such information or documents to any third party without the prior consent of the Council.  All such information and documents shall be kept with inviolable secrecy and shall be used only for the preparation of the proposal to carry out the Survey described in this Brief and for the performance of the appointed Surveyor's duties. An equivalent duty of confidentiality shall apply to all documents prepared by the Surveyor in the performance of his duties.
