Workforce Matters and Staff Development

The Local Authority sees the partnership as playing a key role in offering existing staff improved career development opportunities.  We also recognise that effective management of the changes involved and the impact on staff will be critical to the success of the partnership. The Local Authority intends to follow the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Local Authority Service Contracts and the associated Contract clauses.  

Describe your approach to workforce development and conditions of service for staff.

Please outline your proposals in relation to the application of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 (TUPE), having regard to the information contained in the Information Pack.  Reference should be made to proposals for retaining or re-deploying any staff.  If any members of your consortium have previously been involved in TUPE transfers, provide outline details.  This should include details of your experience on pension matters.
