6.7 Progressive Status Reports

Alliancing is not a 'set and forget' project delivery approach for Owners and NOPs. To provide confidence that the project is being delivered efficiently and effectively by the alliance, periodic and independent audits of the progress and performance of the works should be undertaken.61 Monthly reports by the Alliance Manager should favour 'information not data' as voluminous reports can inadvertently mask rather than illuminate issues.

The Alliance Manager should reforecast in detail the 'costs to completion' of the project on at least a quarterly basis and present the revised estimate of actual outturn costs together with planned remedial measures if appropriate.
