2.0  DESIGNATION OF GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR:

The Base Civil Engineer or his/her authorized representative is designated as the representative of the Contracting Officer for the purpose of technical surveillance of workmanship and inspection of materials for work being performed under this contract.  This designation in no way authorizes anyone other than the Contracting Officer to commit the Government to changes in the terms of the contract.  The inspector is not authorized or required to perform the quality control for the contract.
