In order to protect the contractor and the government against significant market fluctuations and in accordance with FAR 16.203-4 (a)(2), (c)(2) and (d)(2), the following clauses and provisions are prescribed for use solely by the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and its components in solicitations and contracts when award of a fixed-price contract with an economic price adjustment is anticipated.
