5516.203-4  Solicitation Provisions and Contract Clauses.

(a)  The contracting officer shall insert the provision at 5552.216-9000, Evaluation of Offers Subject to an Economic Price Adjustment Clause, in solicitations containing an economic price adjustment clause.

(b)  The contracting officer shall insert a clause that is substantially the same as the clause at 5552.216-9001, Economic Price Adjustment based on Actual Cost of Fuel - Airlift, in all contracts for airlift transportation when an economic price adjustment based on actual cost of fuel is anticipated. Use the basic clause when a monthly fuel report is required or ALT 1 for reporting per mission (reference paragraph (c) of clause). Use ALT II for Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) International Services (reference paragraphs (b) and (c) of clause).

(c)  The contracting officer shall insert a clause that is substantially the same as the clause at 5552.216-9002, Economic Price Adjustment based on DESC Established Prices of Fuel - Airlift, in all contracts for airlift transportation when an economic price adjustment based on DESC established prices is anticipated.

(d)  The contracting officer shall insert a clause that is substantially the same as the clause at 5552.216-9004, Economic Price Adjustment for Less Than Full-Planeload (LPL) Scheduled Services - Airlift, in all solicitations and contracts for charter services when an economic price adjustment based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Producer Price Index is anticipated.
