| Administrative approvals are those approvals that have to be taken by the public entity prior to taking any decision on project development/procurement. The administrative approvals and processes differ, not just between the States and the centre but even between two State Governments. Administrative approvals may depend upon the project size and scope - extent of land and purpose of project, project cost and jurisdiction - district/ State in which the project is proposed and whether it is located inter-district or inter-state. Administrative approvals are required to be obtained for most of the projects proposed for development under PPP framework, depending upon the project cost, size and scope. The public entity might need to obtain administrative approvals under two heads - administrative approvals for State PPP projects and, administrative approval for central sector projects. |
