1.2.3  Briefing Session

It is advised that the Government Entity hold a briefing session for Bidders usually sometime midway through the preparatory period allotted. The session should focus on summarising the ToR and on answering Bidder queries. Attendance, while not mandatory, should be encouraged. However, it must be ensured that attendance does not privilege Bidders, and that any information shared therein is also shared with all prospective Bidders. In addition to presenting an opportunity for clarifications, briefing sessions would also allow the Bidders to become more familiar with the Government Entity key representatives, whose attendance should be highly encouraged - and, also, allow Bidders to familiarise themselves with the competition.
