Commercial dimension

3.14 The commercial dimension covers procurement and commercial arrangements relating to services and assets that are required to implement a proposal. The procurement specification comes from the strategic and economic dimensions. The commercial dimension feeds information on costs, risk management and timing back into the economic and financial dimensions as a procurement process proceeds. This is part of the iterative process of developing a proposal into a mature business case. The Cabinet Office Functional programmes can provide support and advice during appraisal e.g. the Commercial Function can support assessment of procurement decisions.3
