In a typical large project, the SRO will rely on a well-organised contract management team to deliver the required services through the contractor(s). This team will typically be managed by an expert who will anticipate and act on a wide range of strategic issues, delivery risks and senior stakeholder concerns. They will be supported by one or more practitioners who will focus on one or more contractors in the supply chain and/or particular aspects of the service. Foundation level staff may be directly supporting practitioners or managing a small contract as part of a broader role.
