5.2 Civil engineering projects are usually undertaken under Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Conditions of Contract, either the 5th or 6th Editions, which have separate designer- led, and design and construct versions. There is also a civil engineering Minor Works Form. These ICE Conditions are produced by the Conditions of Contract Standing Joint Committee (CCSJC). Process Plant Engineering takes place under a variety of documents, some of them devised by clients themselves, but also those prepared by the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), involving a lump sum document ("the Red Book") and a reimbursable version ("the Green Book"). Where the main purpose of the work is the supply and/or erection of electrical, electronic and mechanical plant, Model Forms are published by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) known as MF/1 (supply and erection) and MF/2 (supply only).
