5.3 A good deal of central Government work is procured under GC/Works/l, prepared and published by the DOE but also used by other Departments (sometimes with amendments). Some Government clients use their own contract, (such as the Department of Transport's design and construct form) or use Standard Forms such as ICE 5th or JCT 80 with their own amendments.
