7.30 A broad measure of agreement in principle exists on desirable objectives for professional education. A series of detailed proposals have been put forward by the CIC and others for implementation. The CIC is best placed to co-ordinate action, if necessary involving advisers from the Departments for Education and Employment and DOE. A task force should be set up to supervise the delivery of the action points which have already been proposed, according to clear and published timescales. Clients, contractors and specialists are also very interested in this, and should be informed of progress through the Implementation Forum.
