Also, multiple jurisdictions are undertaking long-term corridor protection by strategically acquiring and reserving land for potential infrastructure projects.9 As well as supporting future development, this strategy reduces expenditure by acquiring tomorrow's land at today's prices. These practices should be expanded and become mainstream in every jurisdiction.
