Circular economy A circular economy (see Figure 9.4) aims to use resources for as long as possible, draw the maximum value from them while in use, then recover and regenerate their components for reuse at the end stage of their service life.44 It is based on the principles of 'designing out' waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems.45 |
